In a shocking tweet posted on Friday the 14th of December 2018, the national spokesperson for Black First Land First, Lindsay Maasdorp, celebrated the brutal murder of an elderly couple, who was shot and killed whilst sleeping in their beds, on their farm in the Western Cape.
This comes after Black First Land First leader, Andile Mngxitama, last week said that for every one black person killed they would kill five white people, including women and children.
Two elderly victims, male and female, were both shot dead in their bed whilst sleeping according to Ian Cameron of Afriforum.
The SAHRC, as well as many civil rights organisations and political parties, indicated that they would lay charges against BLF and take the matter further legally.
Lobby group AfriForum recently reported that 22 farm attacks have been reported in the Western Cape since the start of this year.

The group was in the Equality Court on Tuesday in the matter between itself and a complainant represented by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC).
The Black First Land First (BLF) movement says it has no money for legal representation in its court battles.
The group was in the Equality Court on Tuesday in the matter between itself and a complainant represented by the South African Human Rights Commission (SAHRC).
The complainant has accused the BLF of using hate speech.
The BLF says that groups and people who have taken them to court over various incidents are opportunistic as they know that they cannot afford legal representation.
Deputy president Zanele Lwana explains: “It is a lot of money to pay for legal representation in this country. We already have an overwhelming amount of legal costs from racists, including AfriForum, who want to see our movement destroyed and punished through legal costs.”

Violence will be knocking at your door declares BLF after IEC refuses to register the party for municipal elections in 2019

The extremely radical and controversial leader of the Black First Land First (BLF) says there will be violence if the Independent Electoral Commission refuses to register its party for the forthcoming municipal elections of 2019.
He made the remark after it was disclosed that the BLF may not participate in the election in terms of the constitution that clearly notes that the conduct of hate speech and declaring of genocide is condemned.
He raised the threat during a media interview with reporters and said if the IEC prevented him from participating in the forthcoming election, violence would break out in South Africa.
Earlier, in a speech, he encouraged his audience to kill white people, which led to severe reactions from different resorts.
Meanwhile, it is expected that President Ramaphosa will act or at least give a warning but it did not happen.
